Frost Giants - Character Design
These two were the first “non-human” characters I had the pleasure to design for Brandon’s game.
Because of that, I took the liberty to explore their proportions a bit more and push a few features further. Their ice features were also fun to explore. They’re meant to be easily changeable, as they’d crack quite easily depending on the giant’s strength. Once broken, they grow back in different shapes and sizes.
The first of the duo is Jokaral, the tribe’s leader. He has a kind hearted spirit and can be a bit stubborn, depending on the situation. I imagined him as an excellent swimmer who enjoys being at the coast to clear his mind. He also prefers having a salty sea creature on the menu for dinner, so win-win. =P
Then there’s Syvir, a strong minded spirit.
In some aspects, she’s very different from her brother, Jokaral, as she can be more collected and into her own mind. Though, she also shares the same ideals and purposes as him.
Like their body ice features, the ice on their weapons is changeable, depending on their spirit’s strength and focus on the battlefield.
During early explorations, I even made her as big as mountains lol. It was fun, but in the end, their final sizes are less dramatic when comparing to humans. =P
