CURITIBA/PR - BRAZIL

Last month I traveled by plane for the first time (and all by myself) to go to an art event called Topia. It was incredible and scary to go away from my comfy zone and meeting SO MANY people that like me, love to draw, to create, to tell stories, to inspire and be inspired. Like me, they were a little shy, but made an effort to be there, to talk and share who they are.

It was the first time I could talk to so many artists all at once and I really miss that interaction now that I’m back home. Even though I do like to be back in my cave, I also think it would be nice to live in a city where there are so many opportunities for us artists.

Among lots of talks, demos, portfolio reviews and atelier classes, I was REALLY fortunate to get some constructable advices from my favorite artists and also, I got in a spare spot in an acrylic atelier class (thank you so much kind lady that let me in T-T) and I love it!

Here it’s the painting I did using a reference photo given in the class.
There were so many incredible interpretations of this woman, using only the primary colors, as instructed.

The following days were spent sightseeing the city’s historic center, a museum, a botanic garden and a beautiful opera house.
Here there are some of my the favorite shots and some sketches I did:

I also traveled by train for the first time! I simply love these two cute cities called Morretes and Antonina. They have such a romantic charm. I felt as I was inside a vintage and romantic movie set.

It was cold and misty <3. I love this melancholic and mystery mood. It’s always so hot, sunny and dry where I come from.

And for last, I spent some time drawing this cute lighthouse, first on location and then I finished it at a cafe.

End of adventure. Back to my cave.
